That was a good well-thought-out post. It i...Wow! That was a good well-thought-out post. It is hard to be optimistic nowadays. It is true humans have faced extinction before and survived (probably way more than we know), but they didn't trash the environment as part of it. I have a writer-friend who set her story in the Ice Age. I thought that brought a lot of imagination into the story. It is hard to deal with all the technology, but it can help make a story more dramatic. I have been interested to read a lot of comments here and there (Facebook, etc.) about the PBS series Sanditon, and how the producers goofed on much of the manners and culture.
